ANIMATION LAB is back ↪️ 13 July-31 August 2026, free and for teens from Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova.

This year we will host our 6th edition, as always, online on our Discord community.
Eligibility: You can apply if you are currently in high school or an Incubator alumni.
Participation is free. A selection process will take place. Incubator alumni are welcome to apply, but high school students will be prioritised.
This year’s theme: Quantum
The theme Quantum: A Journey Across Dimensions will act as a leap from reality into other worlds, where imagination, science, and spirituality intersect. The result will be a collaborative animated film, created by the group and distributed internationally through festivals, screenings, and partner initiatives.
The Animation Lab Experience
The program combines 4 workshop sessions with 4 coworking sessions, creating a safe space of learning, experimentation, and connection with other community members. Animation Lab is guided by animator and mentor Paul Mureșan.
Participants will learn the full animation production process — from concept and story development to animation, sound, and final delivery. The result is a collaborative animated film, created by the group and later distributed internationally through festivals, screenings, and partner initiatives.

Past participants have seen their films selected at international festivals, won awards, and gone on to access further opportunities in animation, film, and creative education as a result of their participation.
