We’re Hiring: PR & Community Manager (Bulgaria)
The Animation Incubator (Incubatorul de Animație) is the largest animation and digital art community for teenagers in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. Our mission is to create safe, diverse, and inclusive spaces where young people can learn animation and digital art - regardless of their financial means, geographical location, or educational background.
Over the past six years, we’ve run in-person and online workshops, illustration courses, expert talks, and community-led activities such as our monthly online animation cineclub. All our educational programs are hosted through our online community on Discord, where creativity and collaboration thrive.
Now, we’re expanding our community to youth in Bulgaria, in partnership with Compote Collective and Kinoklass.
About the Role
Contract duration: December 2025 – December 2026
Time commitment: ~4 hours/week on average (with slightly more around busy periods and project start)
Working pattern: Remote & flexible (occasional travel within Romania or Bulgaria; all travel expenses covered). This is a paid role.
We’re looking for a PR & Community Manager (Bulgaria) to help bring the Animation Incubator to life for young people across Bulgaria. This person will lead outreach to our target audiences, support online and in-person events, and help build a vibrant, supportive creative community. You’ll work closely with our Community Manager and Program Manager to coordinate communication, engagement, and outreach efforts in Bulgaria

Role description:
- Engage and onboard teen users to the platform
- Conduct outreach and in-person presentations at high schools to promote the project
- Build partnerships and barter collaborations with local press and similar local BG projects to drive user engagement
- Translate necessary documents from English to Bulgarian (such as press releases)
- Respond to user questions and support the Bulgarian user base
- Oversee and create content for Bulgarian social media channels
- Attend offsite events to represent the project and engage with the community
- Compile and submit reports on grant-related activities and impact
Essential skills:
- Strong PR & communication skills
- Fluent in Bulgarian & English
- Experienced in community management
- Proficient with Google Suite, Monday.com & other productivity tools
- Comfortable with Discord & tech platforms
Desired profile:
- Graduated university with related degree + 2 years of experience
- Sociable, good, clear communicator
- Good with technology (Discord, social media) and creative tools (Canva, Photoshop, Miro)
